Pebble beach

Unfortunately, I live on the West Coast and didn’t wake up in time to get some bets In before the tournament started. This might have been a blessing in disguise because I got two pretty solid prices on golfers that are in a good position after Thursday.

Rory Mcllroy +800 (currently +550 via BetOnline)

I’m definitely not a Rory guy, and I honestly don’t know if I’ve ever even taken him pre-tournament. I only got into golf about 2 years ago, so I’ve never seen that many Rory takeovers. I’m not sure the US Open incident is fully behind him, and I’d be shocked if he plays like a top 5 golfer this year. That being said, every major sports book had him at +650 when I got him at +800. Really nervous about having him in contention on Sunday and he collapses after I double down but ill have some faith.

Viktor Hovland +2450 (currently +2200 via BetOnline)

Despite the little shift in odds, Hovland has played super-dialed since I bet on him and I’m feeling good about my position. He missed a couple of makeable birdie putts to keep him still one back on the lead. It’s obvious the books have lost some respect for Hovland after his lackluster 2024 campaign, but he was going through some swing changes then, and he was able to show some flashes later in the year. I also haven’t forgotten how dialed he was in 2023 when he won the FedEx Cup. As im writing this up I think im gonna add to my position on Hovland more at this price of +2200.

1/29/25 bets recap

sometimes it pays to be square, as Alabama walked into Mississippi states house and got the job done. This dude Josh Hubbard decided to have an absolute legacy night, going for 38 points and making 6 threes, which definitely had me scared. But when Mark Sears is running the offense well and is as in sync with Grant Nelson as he was, it’s hard to take down Bama. This was of course parlayed with Eagles Ml further improving my position on them.

Current eagles SB positions

  • $37 at +1400 (future)
  • $100 at +106
  • $38 at +556 (parlayed with caps ML)
  • $20 at +330

Risking $195 to win $901.28
