2/1/25 bets

Auburn -5.5

Pretty square spot here, but I just don’t really care. This Aubrun offense, with Johni Broome healthy, is so explosive I have to back them. Ole Miss has the top defense in the country and slowed down Alabama on the road. However, the Rebels have the 115th offensive rating in the country, and if they give up a big run to Auburn I don’t have much confidence in them creating opportunities to get out of a large deficit. They will also be without Matthew Murrell this game who averages 2 steals a game.

Oklahoma -2.5

Suuuuuuuch an easy letdown spot for Vanderbilt. In the last 3 games, Vandy has two top-10 wins, beating Tennessee and Kentucky at home. In between those two wins, they get crushed by Bama, letting them drop 103 on their heads. Oklahoma had the wheels fall off in January, entering the month 10-0 and losing 4 straight. Easy chance for them to get right at home against a Vandy team that struggles on the road.

UNC +13.5

I already hate this bet I can’t even lie. I, of course, am going to be watching Duke/UNC and will need a side here. This UNC plays the most selfish, unorganized brand of basketball I’ve maybe ever seen. It seems every player is more worried about their own box score and highlight reel. Hubert Davis has wasted so much talent in his tenure as head coach there, and if their AD had any balls, he’d fire him before this season even ends. However 13.5 seems like too many points for the best rivalry in sports and my dumb brain still think UNC can figure it out with all the talent they have on that team. By placing this bet im also signing up to yell at RJ Davis through my TV screen all game, as he puts up bad shot after bad shot.

Notre Dame -7.5

This Miami team is so bad, like actually so bad. It is a blessing Jim Larranaga retired because this team would probably have been the death of him. I bet on Miami against Florida State because it was a “sharp spot” and got absolutely smoked. They haven’t looked any better since then and If they are ever less than double-digit dogs it’s pretty much a mandatory bet against them.

Gonzaga -130

I have a future on Gonzaga, and it’s been a very disappointing year, to say the least. I’ve yet to push the panic button, but if they lose this game, I might get ready to press it. Gonzaga blows Saint Marys out of the water in every offensive metric, of course, Saint Marys plays at a super slow pace that just deflates their opponents. Over the last 5 years, this has been the only in-conference game circled on Mark Few’s calendar making this the perfect spot for them get back on the right track this year

1/31/25 bet recap

Avs -1.5 ✅

No sweat! Avs scored 4 goals in the first period and never looked back, winning 5-0. Maybe I need to take my talents to the ice more often!
