Liberty -7 Vs Jacksonville State

Yes, this spread actually makes sense. Liberty is 5 times better than any team in the C-USA, and they should be able to prove it against the “#1 team” at home today. Liberty has a relative rating of 10.2, by far the highest mark in the conference (the next best is 2.7). By far, their most impressive is that they have only given up 2 kill shots all year (10-0 run). Despite their impressive record, Jacksonville State grades out as a middle-of-the-pack C-USA team, with just a 1.2 relative rating. Jacksonville won the first matchup by 11 with a dominate second half performance. That game was an off night for liberty as they shot 29% from three (average 38% on the year), 43% from the free throw line, lost the rebounding battle, and the turnover battle. Liberty is at home this time around and should be able to get closer to their season averages this time around. Liberty did do something right that game as they were able to shut down James Pierre who is second in the country in points per game. If they can shut him down again and shoot better from three they should have no issue covering this line

Detroit (Mercy) VS Green Bay (Phoenix) Under 145.5

THIS IS MY SUPER BOWL.

The battle of the garbage cans. Green Bay with a -16.4 relative rating, and Detroit Mercy with a -17.1 relative rating. Despite the very slight edge in relative rating, Green Bay has a worse record of 3-26 compared to Detroits 8-21. We’ve been blessed with this matchup once already this year, and the final score was 67-57 Detroit. Doing some quick math, this total comes to 22 points below the line for this game, and I’m not sure why Vegas thinks there will be a different outcome this time around. Detroit Mercy actually shot better than their season averages in that game while Green Bay lagged behind. But have either of these teams done anything all year to suggest they will improve? These teams have an average of a -9.05 o-rate between them and dont force turnovers. If these shitter teams catch fire from three kudos to them but I will pay to see it.
