UNC -8 @ Virginia Tech
I feel like an immortal mouse that has died 500 times, reaching for the cheese that’s clearly under a mouse trap, but I swear this time, it’s just unattended delicious cheese. Maybe this UNC team just needed time (and a stretch of bottom ACC teams) to finally get all the talent to produce, and despite what their record suggests, Tech is a true bottom ACC team. Tech has the third-worst relative rating in the ACC with a 3.4, while UNC sits at a shockingly high 18.3. I’m also fading Tech off their 100-point overtime win over Syracuse where they shot 61% from the field and 42% from three. Tech is just NOT this efficient and if they play at their normal efficiency they wont be able to keep up with UNC. The RJ davis experience is the only thing holding me back on this bet. There is nothing harder to watch when he gets cold from the field because he will just not stop shooting. At least 6 times a game he will drive to the hoop and take the most contested layup of all time that has less than a 5% chance to go in and somehow never gets the whistle. If they don’t cover today UNC will officially be BANNED on Chaspicks.

Binghamton -8.5 Vs NJIT
This is a 4 unit play for the following reasons
- NJIT is really bad at basketball. They have a relative rating of -17.4, which ranks them 350th in the country. They shoot below 40% from the field, which is such a poverty feat it’s not even funny. Binghamton is nearly just as efficient from three (36.5%) as NJIT is from the field. NJIT themselves are just barely above 30% from behind the arc as well. They are also 0-16 on the road and 1-9 in their last 10.
- what went down last game. NJIT lost by 4 at home in overtime to Binghamton, in this game, Binghamton shot 0-15 from three. 0-15. they shot 0-15 and still won by 4. Binghamton also lost the turnover in that game 13-9. NJIT played their best defensive game in their last 10 games with a rating of 93.8 (and still lost by four). There is no reason for me to assume they will play this well on the road and that Binghamton will play this poorly at home. Binghamton dominated the glass in this game as well with 15 OREB to NJITs 7 which is by far the less variable stat and should still be in their favor again tonghit
- Binghamton is cover god. They are 9-1 ATS in their last 10 and are 8-2 ATS at home.
- This is a 3-hour car ride for NJIT, which makes it an official road game under my standards.
- Also, get Binghamton a bounce-back spot after a bad loss on the road to Umass-Lowell
