Last week, we almost sniped Morikawa, but he choked in the back 9 on Sunday. Let’s hope we have better luck this week!
The FOMO bets
Akshay +11000
Xander +2800
Bob Mclyntyre +7000
Brian Harman +12500
If any of these 4 guys are in it on Sunday it’s a mandatory mega-live bet so I might as well have small sprinkles on them pre tournament
The heavy hitter

Scottie Scheffler +500
Forgive me, Father, for I have sinned; ‘I’ve given into temptation, and it feels so good. I swore I’d never take a golfer with shorter odds than +850, as it goes against everything I stand for. However, Scottie winning is maybe the most obvious thing ever, and as ridiculous as it sounds, +500 kind of feels like value here. Its been a bit of a weird start for Scottie, his par 5 and par 3 scoring average are down drastically from last year (3.13 and 4.57 this year compared to 2.98 and 4.42 last year) despite this he’s still 3rd in scoring average on tour right now. The part of his game thats really promising is his putter. The putter was the only aspect of his game that left something to be desired last year as he was just 77th in strokes gained putting. This year scottie is 30th in strokes gained putting and 11th in putts per round. The results so far have been disappointing for his extremely high standards and has had moments where he looked very human. Saturday at Torrey Pines during the Genesis invitational he shot a 76 only carding one birdie or better the entire round. During the WM Phoenix open he was visibly losing his cool multiple times and was never really in it. The Players Championship will officially become his tournament if he can capture a third consecutive win this sunday and I think hes aware of that. This is the perfect time for me to bite the bullet on the short number a ride with the best golfer on the planet.
