I will be in attendance of this glorious event this Saturday, and I’m looking to maximize my enjoyment by placing bets that will still be alive come Saturday. Scottie at +285 is horrible odds and no fun, so I will be fading him at all costs.
To win
Sam Burns +2200
Has finished 3rd and 6th at the WM in the last two years. Always comforting to bet on a guy with a hot putter, and Burns is dialed putting, ranking 21st in strokes gained putting. +2200 seems like good value for a golfer with a history of success on this course.
Kurt Kitayama +6000
Apparently, this is his favorite golf course, and he has never won here. I imagine his putter will let me down, but I think his performance off the tee can set up some nice birdie opportunities to keep him within striking distance on Saturday.
Bob Maclntyre +5500
Fucking love Bob.
Akshay Bhatia +8000
I just bet on him in every tournament
Max Homa +12500
Ok, he’s been bad, hence the absurd number. But Max Homa is a total bro, and this is the tournament for total bros.
Hideki +1700
I think +1700 is nice value for the 2nd best golfer in the field. Hideki already has a win this year at the Sentry and seems to be in pretty solid form. He is 9th in strokes gained total and all of the chirps he will hear on this rowdy course won’t be in his first language and easier to tune out (yes this a real analysis).
Top Ten
Davis Thompson +600
Andrew Novak +700
Dudes with no Aura and cant see winning but they are good bets.
