A signature event with Xander back in the field???!!!! I’m so excited!!!!
My mandatory bets (the Pookie tier)
It’s pretty simple: if any of these guys were to win and I didn’t have a position on them pre-tournament, I’d cry
Xander to win +2500 (yes, those are his real odds on BetOnline)
Akshay to win +9000
Max Homa to win +25000. I can’t believe he’s really this washed 😦
Bob Maclntyre to win +7000
Brian Harman to win +13500
The Heavy Hitter

Collin Morikawa +2200
Collin has been in fantastic form to start the year. He’s 2nd in strokes gained total, 10th in strokes gained around the green, and 27th in strokes gained putting. He finished in solo second in the Sentry, carding a 62 on Saturday of that tournament. He was also able to finish the Genesis with a 67 on Sunday after staying around even par for the first 3 days. The fairways at Bay Hill are difficult to hit on average (59%) which is why I landed on Collin. Although he doesn’t hit it far with his driver (165th in driving distance and 135th last year) hes very accurate with it (5th in driver accuracy % this year and 7th last year). In the short sample size this year Collin has improved greatly in his approach shots starting the year 10th in strokes gained (42nd last year)
Middle guy

Davis Thompson +6500
I’ve started to become a big fan of his game and if he were to win he’d surely enter the conversation for my Pookie tier. Used a bit of the same thought process here as I did for Collin, as he is 11th in strokes gained off the tee and 50th in driving accuracy. His putter is so bad its almost comical but im gonna choose to ignore that because I really like him
Long Shot

Thomas Detry +11000
Can’t get the image of him being untouchable during the WM out of my head right now, and I see this large number and FREAK OUT. He was so dialed that weekend that im willing to take the longshot bet of him looking like that again
